How do I activate Plug & Charge in the CHARGE NOW for Business app?
To activate Plug & Charge for your vehicle:
- Open the CHARGE NOW for Business app and navigate to your charging contract.
- Go to Services and select Plug & Charge.
- Enter your vehicle's VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and PCID (Provisioning Certificate ID).
- Confirm the activation.
- Once the contract is ready, open the charging menu in your vehicle and install the Plug & Charge contract certificate to the vehicle. This is the final step to make Plug & Charge active.
Note: The Plug & Charge status will show as "Pending" until the contract certificate has been downloaded to the vehicle.
Where do I find my VIN and PCID?
VIN (Vehicle Identification Number):
- Vehicle registration documents
- Manufacturer's app
- Vehicle chassis plate (typically visible through the windshield or inside the door frame)
PCID (Provisioning Certificate ID):
- In some vehicles, the PCID is the same as the VIN.
- If not, your vehicle manufacturer can provide your PCID.
Note: For other vehicle brands, refer to the manufacturer's app or vehicle documentation.
Why does my Plug & Charge status show "Pending"?
"Pending" means your contract and vehicle have been set up for Plug & Charge, but the contract certificate has not yet been installed to the vehicle. To complete activation:
- Go to the charging menu in your vehicle.
- Download the CHARGE NOW for Business Plug & Charge contract certificate.
Once the download is complete, Plug & Charge will be active. It may take a few minutes after the app activation before the certificate is available to download.
