What is Plug & Charge, and is it free?
Plug & Charge (PnC) is a smart charging technology based on the ISO 15118 standard. It lets a compatible electric vehicle automatically authenticate at a supported charging station the moment the cable is connected — no app, RFID card, or manual authorisation required. The charging session starts automatically and is billed to the associated charging contract.
Activating Plug & Charge is free of charge. Standard charging fees based on your CHARGE NOW for Business tariff still apply to every session.
Does Plug & Charge replace my RFID card or the CHARGE NOW for Business app?
No. Plug & Charge is an additional authentication method. You can still use your RFID card or the CHARGE NOW for Business app at any station. Plug & Charge only takes effect at compatible charging stations when it has been activated for your contract.
